I am currently seeking representation for both TAKE FIVE and ANOTHER WINTER! The first five pages, synopses, and full manuscripts of each can be provided upon request.
TAKE FIVE
What good is a magician who can’t cast magic?
That isn’t a question most people have to worry about, but for Sienna Travler, member of the Magicians’ Guild, it could mean the end of her career. Luna Lucera, her best friend, wants to help Sienna raise her standing in the eyes of the Guildmaster, so when they hear news of a tournament to find the best mages in the world, Luna suggests that Sienna enter.
Sienna loses. Badly.
One week later, the Guild is burnt to ashes. The Guildmaster is dead. Luna knows who’s responsible, but she doesn’t want to believe it. To make matters worse, Blue Indivar, a survivor of the fire, is on the warpath – and he won’t rest until his sword has tasted Sienna’s blood.
The question on everyone’s lips is “Why did Sienna do it?” Luna knows something must have pushed Sienna over the edge. Alongside private investigator Ashwyn Vincent, Luna must unravel Sienna’s motives – and piece together her ultimate goal. But when the body count starts rising, Luna is faced with the fact that Sienna may be too far gone to save.
TAKE FIVE is an 86,000-word fantasy novel and is the first in a planned series.
ANOTHER WINTER
There’s nothing like a murder to bring people together.
When Thessaly Melodia, director of the prestigious Melodia Museum of Art, is found dead in one of her galleries, the city guards immediately finger local artist Rayley Triggs as the culprit. On top of that, Rayley goes missing, leaving only one person to defend her.
Blacksmith Pascale Brady makes a point to keep her nose clean, but even she can’t ignore the charges levied at Rayley, the only person in town who Pascale gets along with. She takes it upon herself to investigate Thessaly’s murder and track down Rayley. Soon, though, she finds out that she can’t go it alone.
Librarian Kalina Essery just wants to track down an overdue book. The fact that it was last in the possession of Rayley Triggs doesn’t mean anything to her, until she runs into a blacksmith at Rayley’s studio and gets the whole picture.
Together, Pascale and Kalina must find the real killer, save Rayley, and uncover what makes a single book important enough to die for.
ANOTHER WINTER is an 89,000-word fantasy novel and is the second in a planned series.
